Went to a junk yard today looking for a turbo from a dodge 2.2, they had lots of 2.2s. I found a Dodge Lancer ES I think it was with a 2.2L turbo engine. It had a grill/vent in the hood, It looked like somebody took the intercooler but the turbo was still there. It took me 4 hours but I got the turbo off. It is a garrett turbo. Looks like it just needs to be cleaned good. I paid $50 for it. I'm pretty familar with turbos, how they work and all. My dad has a 2005 Dodge SRT-4. I'm planning to rebuild the turbo I bought. It looks like it is easy but I think cleaning it may be the hard part. Where can I get a rebuild kit for it and what do you suggest I use to clean it? Thanks

I would look for a cartridge on ebay, just pull out the center section and replace with new one. Viola.. new turbo, and they're cheap.. like $100 to $150. ~~Heath

between garrett and mitsu? The garret has the 'flapper' for the wastegate seperate from the turbo, it goes on the swing valve, the mitsu just has a 90* adapter on it, the flapper is made into the housing.

You've got a garrett ... off a dodge lancer ES = a "t03" water and oil cooled.
The center ("t03 & t04") sections are interchangable.

You might want to check out this website, turbo database section. Read it over and over again, then later, redo. Its gospel
