14psi if you intercool it. After 14psi you will need a 3 bar MAP or a cut-out raiser, and atleast +20% injectors.

The safest is what your air/fuel guage says is safe. I highly recommend you search around here and check out www.thedodgegarage.com

This site is our bible, read the turbo database section over and over again. Take a break and read it 10 more times.

Welcome to the club,

What is the highest amount of turbo i can run on my 91 shadow es its a 2.5 turbo has an oversized head and suppose to have an ecu upgrade on it (which i am unsure of because i bought it off a kid that bought a new truck) but right now i am runnin 3-4 psi according to the boy i bought it off of he was runnin 10 psi he said he turned it back down but i would like to turn it back up to about 8 not too much as its a daily driver with 131,000 miles is it possible to run this safely on my car?

Again, unless you have a custom cal from one of our vendors, probably 12psi. If you have an MBC, you can set it to where you want it.

There are too many variables again to accurately guess. Make sure to have an air/fuel guage and even better is an EGT gauge. You should have both.

Cool. So when there installed, gradually turn the boost up until you run out of fuel or hear detonation,

I ran my 91 shadow ES to 12psi with the timing at 13 degrees on premium for months without a problem. This was with a stock mistubishi NO intercooler and a fairly free flowing exhaust. Never any signs of detonation (sound or change on the frequently checked plugs) I even went as far as to run 14psi with a half gallon of 110 in the tank.

Intercooled 86 GLH I'd run around at 14psi RIGHT near the cutout without any problems as well. Just watch the plugs, watch for the sound of detonation etc etc. EGTs help.. I've had mixed results with A/F gauges.

Hope that helps

Mike
