carbon eating my turbo!

anyone ever seen a turbo with enough carbon built up in the turbine side
to actually lightly grind down the turbine blades a tiny bit .. just enough to see the marks

and no its not contacting the housing the carbon is actually scraped smooth
and when chipped away the cast iron is untouched

I haven't heard that one before. You learn something new every day. What kind of condition was the motor the turbocharger came off of?
