I wouldn't call them stages, they don't build off of each other. Here is a link that should help http://www.surpluselectron.com/aaron/22.htm with nice pics too.

They aren't really "turbo stages" (unless you meant to say stage 1, stage 2, stage 3 for SRT 4's only) they are designation of an engine type from Dodge. Here is a quick answer.

TI = SOHC 8v Turbo (no intercooler ?)
TII = SOHC 8v Turbo (intercooler optional ?, different intake and computer cal than TI ? )
TIII = DOHC 16v Turbo intercooled 224 hp (91-92 Spirit R/T 92-93 Daytona R/T ONLY)
TIV = VNT turbo intercooled apx 195 hp (any of the "VNT" designated cars)

Other members can and will give many more details.

T1 (TI) = no intercooler at all 146hp (2.2)
T2 (TII) = same as T1, with intercooler, more boost and different fuel/spark curves. 174hp (2.2)
T3 (TIII) = 16v DOHC engines (also intercooled) 225hp (2.2)
T4 (TIV) = 16v DOHC VNT (variable nozzle turbo, 16v) 225hp (2.2)

I think thats right...

TIV cars were not 16v, they were SOHC cars with the variable nozzle turbo and they had under 200 hp.

The Chrysler TC had the option of a 16v MASI turbo motor but I don't think it had a T number designation

Everybody forgot the '88+ 2.5L T1. That was a non-intercooled, blow-through motor.

The VNT has 174 HP (apparently there was a big secret and it has only 164 HP) and 210 torque ... and was 2.2 (with balance shafts) and 8V SOHC too
