What the Heck is a Turbo timer?

Forgive me, I dont know. THey talk about Turbo timers on the Scion commercial on TV. Sounded dumb when they said it, they showed a riced scion when they did. Been driving me crazy, I honestly dont know.

Its a timer that keeps your car running after you take out the keys, to prolong the life of the turbo.

they're supposed to help it last longer... in reality, a proper cooling system and it'll last no problem.

With good oil, good coolant, and the proper system, you DONT need a turbo timer... it just lets the car sit there and idle. You dont need that every time since you only need to idle down after really heating the turbo.
