the reason i ask is that my car in 3rd gear at about 5200 rpm my car makes like 10-11 psi of boost. the only thing is that it shoots out a lot of black smoke, you would'nt know the reason for that would you?

Sounds like your timing could be off, or the fuel pressure regulator could be stuck, causing 90+psi of fuel pressure. I've had the regulator stick on 3 different cars, so it is a common problem.

With the exception of the smoke...it's not unusual to see 10-11 psi in a stock setup.
