I broke my turbo last night. It was an e-bay special. .63 "stage III" 57 trim to4e. It broke under boost. It was singing right along about 30 lbs of boost in 3rd gear. Then suddenly boost dropped to 0. I thought that a intercooler hose blew off, but I found no hoses blown off and turbo was making noise, I checked it and it has alot of side to side play and even more end play. So I was talking to turbonetics and they rec. a 62-1 for what I want to do. I am worried about physical size with the 62-1. Has anyone in here ran a 62-1?

hmm.. it wasn't a Turbo ZY or SSautochrome was it? You mention Turbonetics, so it probably wasn't - but I thought I'd ask. Lot's of horror stories come from Ebay turbos.

Need more info, what are your plans, combo, street, strip or double duty?

I was just wondering about total size. I have sence talked to turbonetics again and found out that I can run a T04E compressor housing with the 62-1 and not have any major losses in efficency.
