whats the best STOCK frankenstiened turbo combination you know of for our turbos? i mean if you could take all the diffrent years and build the ultimate turbo out of stock turbos what would you use???

89 Garrett. But if I had money to spend I would get a better turbo, the Garrett is ungodly laggy.

whats full spool by on that? whats the trim and ar on that bad boy

dave i saw in your sig that you have a 90 spirit bov, is that any diff than the plastic ones?

i just put a garret on my 89 2.5 and i get 13 psi by about 2500-3k....my setup isnt quite right though....people get it much faster than that i guess...ive still got some work to do...

I agree that the 89 TII garrett turbo would be the way to go. If the .48 turbine housing is too laggy for what you are looking for, then stick with a mitsu and stay in the slow lane.

If I had the time, and a couple of bucks, I would pick up a stock turbo off of an 86'-87' buick grand national, and put a .63 chrysler flange hot side on there. Instant super 70 turbo that will flow you into the 12s easy with the right upgrades in other places. This would be a great go fast budget build.

That is only due to poor tuning.
My Hybrid 50 trim, stage 3 was not laggy.

so how can i identify these garrett turbos? i have no clue what the difference is between them at all


i'm a newb to these cars bare with me, if anyone has a picture that would be nice also
