You cannot tell the pistons from the top. I've been fooled before as well. Had to rip the engine apart again. if you are that far, another hour or so and you can pull the pistons and check the lands.

Exactley, learn't that when I was a teenager hopping up my 78 Civic,

Hahhahha, thats where I got my start,
Wickedly fun cars, I could out run IROC Camaro's and 5.0L Mustangs, that was around 88, unfortuneatly, the floor rusted out along with the rear control arm mounts, common Civic problem and i had to get rid of it,
