Im doing my convertion soon. So thought i'd see what yall think. '86 lancer 2.2l turbo. The block is all t1 from what i know, has been run on fully syn. oil & 97 octane its whole life.
The only performance things i'm adding are "2.25 h/f cat exhaust, t2 stage 2 comp, underdrive pulley, "2.5 cold air intake, & fmic

Anything anyone thinks i should do or get post it

thanks

my pops is the original owner and has atlease put whatever the premium fuel back in 86 was in it....sum'd up this car was kinda babied till now......and as far as the exhaust goes. 2.25 is what i was told would fit. Any bigger and i'll start scraping and banging on shit while driving. This is coming from a good friend at a local muffler+cat shop. The 2.25 inch non-mandrel, w/ obd2 h/f cat, and a straight through magnaflo muffler is working fine for me. Not to mention that the magnaflo helps keep the car a sleeper.

Premium in CA means octane 91.

Your good friend gave you the wrong information. I have 3 inch exhaust in my car and they don't scarp or bang on anything.

http://********************/shop/index.php?cPath=53_134 has the exhaust system you want.

Will it hold up to what? If the P/T has been taken care of, and you say it's on synthetic oil, and everything is working properly you should have no prob's. Although, you don't really state what it is you want it to hold up too? 12psi? 15? 20? You should go 2 1/2-3" exhaust. If you can't get mandrel, you should go 3" for sure!

?FMIC on a TI log , seems like a lot of work for min gains, I'd convert it to late one piece and add wiring for AIS and O2, That log limits you should be called a turd intake
