I went to pick up my block and rods from the machine shop and the guy took me into his store room because he wanted to get rid of some stuff he had.
This is what he showed me:

11/22/88 2.5 block cleaned, bored, and O-ringed
Polished 2.5 std. crank
copper head gasket
J&E 2.5 forged pistons w/ rings
two sets of reconditioned and shot-peened TII rods

He showed me this AFTER I had my stuff done , I think I can get it for 500 he said. Now that I am done paying, caughing up 5 bills is not easy. I could sell them, but blocks and cranks are expencive to ship. I don't know what I should do; sounded like a good deal to me, but not sure what I would do with it.

Those pistons alone are worth $500.
I would buy it. Spare good parts for 1/3 of the orignal price are always nice.
