i have a hi-po oil pump from mopar that i bought abought 4 years ago for my 2.2 turbo . my question is it worth using or does it use two much horse power? i think i read that some where?? or do you have a oil pump brand preference..that i should use instead???

Good old Melling works fine. Most "failures" are because of clearance issues or starvation from lack of baffling in pan or pick-up slammed between balance box and pan.

A few guys have reported some problems with the MP pumps. Aside from the HP use they will in turn put more stress on the worm gears that drive it. When these strip it's a PITA. Stock Melling is just fine.
