2.5 in a L-body, you want to have the biggest and best traction tires. Other wise, you're just going to spin the tires.

mine hauls ass with a 2.5, i gotta tune this beast though. ill be swapping cams, advancing timing and pulling fuel, just waiting on a WB o2 gauge.

i got a auto with a good sized cooler, pretty sweet to launch

also, theyve noticed redline for 2.5s are 6200 and 2.2s are 6700, that is stock, unless yours is modified and have dyno results to justify taking it higher. thedodgegarage testimonials (or whatever) about racing results showed people found it best shifting at 5500, so its up to you.

i dumped a 2.5 in mine i love it, traction does suck however it will walk right off the side of the street if you mash it.

Wheel spin is a problem for sure... Can't hook if you wot from a dig.....and will literly throw you in the ditch with the manual steering I have.. Brake boost is a pain..2 stage calibration helps with that tho. Also a lil sway bar shim and weight over the passenger tire helps, stiffer rear springs.... I like the extra torque with the light car myself

but all of use agree these are good problems to have instead of having a car that wont get out of its own way. traction is not a huge deal to me cause when i go out cruzing it will probably be on some dot drag radials.

a guy from town ran mid 13s @ 105-106mph in a 2.5L with ported swirl and MP Plus turbo (stock TII but w/ .63 exhaust)

I went 2.2L for my L body......but I have a complete motor here 2.5L forged just needs assembly and some reman rods....so I could switch out anytime if I feel the need for some more torque, but I dont think torque is going to be a problem with the hp ill be pushing
