I agree 100%! This "Hobby" of ours is supposed to be about the enjoyment of driving/owning one of these TD's. Sometimes that includes doing some type of repair/ maintenance. Everyone on here isn't a Master Mechanic with certifications from the state. From time to time people do ask for advice from some of the more knowledgeable, or "senior" members on this forum, and the advice is usually gladly given and very appreciated. There are times when a heated debate is extremely entertaining and invigorating. But don't shit in the young guys lunch box just because you seem to have lost the enjoyment of working on cars. I guess it does become a job for someone who does it to pay the bills, instead of for a feeling of accomplishment. If it strained me that much to try and help a kid out, I wouldn't show my ass by even posting an answer to his question in the first place. I'm 53 and still enjoy working on vehicles, whether as enjoyment or employment. Wish you the best!

HAHAHAHA, well I guess your "omniciency" is about as valuable as your advice. Which was of absolutely zero value. You actually in didn't help at all. All you did was try to inflate your own ego by basically insulting me for asking a question you didn't even have the answer for. You never verified that I could remove the starter without pulling the drive axle. If you were anywhere near as experienced as you like to say you are, you could have answered that without telling me stories or insulting me. You just kept ducking the question and blabbering on about bullshit, I'm surprised I was as respectful and kind as I was. Also just for the record your insults are some of the weakest I've heard. It really makes people question your intelligence when they see things like, "go suck a fart you stupid f'n butt wipe!!!" Let alone deciphering all of your misspelled words. You ignorant shitcock!

The thing is you never gave an answer. You just messed around like an inbred retard. Telling someone to check on there own isn't an answer, its a damn suggestion.

Exactly, thanks for your understanding. I think this guy just never learned respect or lacks integrity. I call that into question (as well as his intelligence and actual experience) after his behavior. I personally enjoy working on cars, I just like to be prepared before I pull stuff apart and get too involved. I guess that means I'm a "slug" and can't wipe my ass.

That's not the answer to whether I can get the starter out without pulling the pass. axle. That's the question you ducked and avoided.

calm down now...
There is no need for name calling. He had valid questions. It is sometimes quite hard to communicate abilities with simplistic questions especially over a forum

That's exactly what happened here. He takes a short question and apparently developed a total opinion of me. I wanted to know one thing and it took two days (and counting) to get an answer, therefore I am lazy?!? If I needed the car done right then that hour, I certainly would have gone the trial and error path. Some people would rather educate themselves and work smartly than just start going to town on things.

Wow, you really have some issues, and you are equally bad at insulting people and giving advice. You could have answered my question with out being condescending (you may have to look that up) and writing a list that I never needed nor asked for. If you think that's a way to give helpful advice, you severely lack intelligence and tact. I feel sorry for your kids, if you have any, or could find a goony bitch stupid enough with which to have them. I could just see it now, your daughter asks you for help with division and you give her a rant on how to get a piece of paper out of a notebook and call her a fart eater. Thanks for the laughs though, those are worth more than your "advice".

I totally agree, this has been a waste of time. If I would have had you answering my question to begin with, I would have been way better off. That being said if I feel insulted or wronged, I'll stand up for myself. I realize thats a waste of time, since nothing tangible is involved, but I'll do it anyway.
