I wouldnt bother replacing the rod bolts there the same ones that go in the 318's and 340's and Ive owned lost of each.I can say I have NEVER had a failed factory bolt fail. And Ill tell you what I was twice as hard on my v8s!However Ive heard that the 2.2 were noted for being out of round from the factory so its still a good idea to have them resized! And as far as making sure the bearing clear. is correct do it yourself I always have and once again have NEVER had a bearing spin or failed. Now I have melted a piston or 2 hehe.

I have taken apart many turbo Dodges and 340's with broken rod bolts. The all time champion bolt buster was the early 396 Chevy.
They singlehandily created a market for better rod bolts. It's one area I don't like to take a chance on a performance engine and I have built many performance engines with used parts.
Thanks
Randy
