I'm rebuilding the engine for my GLHS and none of my local machine shops turn cranks. I found a reman crank through one of my wholesale outlets at a **** good price but it's turned .020 on the rods and .010 on the mains.

Anyone had luck with a crank cut this far (.020 on the rods) in a pretty much "stock" turbo application? I don't drive the car much but when I do it gets run hard....hey it's a GLHS!

.020 and .010 is fine. I ran a T2 forged crank that was ground .040 on both. Tough to find bearings, I found them before I ground the crank though.

.040!?
Has anyone tried Offset Grinding the crank?
More or Less Stroke, i dont know which i would try!
It would be cool to have a 2.2 with less stroke...

just curious...

Yes .040. I made sure that I found bearings before the grind.
