pre 89 block w/89xdrilled head

We pulled the head off the unknown rampage and found out that the block is pre 89 (not xdrilled) and the head is x drilled. Will this lead to more blown headgaskets and troubles down the road?

Ok but what head gasket should I use? mp#4452005 or 006?

Either one will work, but the 005 would be the most "correct" choice.
