i wanted to change my bottom end over to the stronger t2 rods and pistons. i was hoping someone could tell me what the benifit of over boring the block is. also with the t2 rods bolt up to my 87 2.2 t1 crank? the other thing i was hoping you guys could help with was telling me what parts i would need other than the rods and pistons of course, and perhaps give me the numbers or vendors. i want to buy things myself to keep the shop from marking it up. on a tight budget. thanks.

the only reason to bore the block is when you have to much piston to wall clearance, the benefit is more ci. the tII rods will bolt up to the crank you have.
