Can I do this? What needs to be changed? I have a good cast crank (all pulleys/flywheel ect) out of my GLHS and my 89 common block just ate it's bearings due to bad oil pump I can get the forged turned .020 over (rods) .010 (mains) and get it hardened or get the cast hardened without turning. Which is better and how do I do it with the cast?

Thanks,
Steve

I had asked Dempsy about this once. He told me not to use noncommon block cranks in a common block and vise versa. I think it was something to do with the design? I know someone on here knows all the info on this.

Doesn't Gary run a cast crank in Relentless? Maybe this is from a common block 2.5??

If you want to run a cast crank in a common block 2.2 you need the crank form a common block 2.2 N/A motor. Could a put one in my motor but didn't have the time. Later
