its already out what size flush pipe plug do i need to block the oil hole

It's up to you really. Find a plug with threads that are slightly larger than the hole. Then you'll have to get a drill bit and tap to match the thread size of the plug.

I used a normal bolt...tightened it down with some Loctite, then ground the bolt flat with the block surface.

Not being a smart A$$, but why grind the head off? Is there a clearence issue? If not... it might be wise to saftey wire it so it won't back out. (which I might do if the head can stay)

Good question...I ground it off so it would be flush with the block. The bolt goes in at an angle so the head would have hit the pan.

Again...I used strong Loctite on the bolt. It won't come out.

It is not threaded...you will have to find a good bolt/set screw and tap the hole yourself to match.

I tapped the hole just far enough to put in a locktited allen head screw. Then I picked up a 1 ich bolt with the same thread as the balance shaft carrier. There is a carrier hold coen bolt hole next to the hole you tap. The one inch bolt with a washer will cover the plugged hole with the allen head screw (more insurance).

isn't one of the benefits losing weight, and gaining room for more oil (a qt from what I read)? Not to mention... while the pan is off why not remove it?
