I've got my parts car mostly ripped apart, minus the bottom end, and I'm just curious to find out if the forged crank will fit into the 89 block I've got. the m.p. book lists the forged crank as the same p.n. for all the engines from '87- '90, so what kinda fitment issues am I looking at? (besides pulling the balance shafts) I just figured I'd ask before I rip apart the block. car's destined for the big road course in the sky soon, and I don't wanna waste the time pulling it if it's just gonna end up decorating my living room with all the other spare parts.

Nope, the 87 is NOT a direct swap. It can be done, but takes WORK.

It's worth the time to pull it. A forged 87 crank can bring $75-150
