turbo blocks cracking between freeze plugs???

I have heard that these Turbo Motors are know for 'Cracking" between the Freeze out plugs, is this true?

My wife's '88 Daytona T2 cracked in between the frost plugs.

I wouldn't say they're known for it, but yes, it does happen from time to time. I've had one out of 8 that had a crack.
