Is there any reason to reinstall the balance shaft sprocket on the crank if I'm not using them? From what I can tell, "NO" but I want to be sure before I start bolting things together.

TIA

I don't see why there would be any reason to reinstall it?

I did not put mine back in and it runs great. I see no need for it to be put back in.

Hey guys, Thanks for the advice. I'll feel better about leaving the sprocket out now that I know its been done and there are no problems. I kind of figured it wouldn't be a problem but I didn't want to find out the hard way

Thanks

I have a crank seal that won't stop leaking so I am going to have to put mine back in. It didn't leak before so I can assume it acts as a slinger.

Why do that? You should just replace your seal with a newer teflon self lubricating seal you won't have anymore problems.

If you go to autozone, they should tell you that the replacement seal they have for that is a teflon self lubricating seal, I can't remember if you have a choice between that and the old 1 anymore or not. Ohh crud your in canada, dunno you'll have to look around I guess. Ok, I minimized then went to autozone.com, they only show 1 seal for that now. You'll hafta email em or call em up and ask em if it's a teflon seal. I'm thinkin thats all they make anymore, have you gotten a new seal already? You can order stuff from them online if it's the one. Otherwise I'm not sure where to look up where u are.
