Anyone had experience with the cast 2.5 silvolite pistons. Opinions appreciated!

General consensus is those pistons are good for stock type rebuilds and not much more.

So, if you are planning on boosting hard, you might want to get a different type.

I'll see probly a max of 16 psi on the rare occasion, with an intercooler and suitable injectors. Would they live thru that?

4sfed4 is right....only for stock applications. 16psi is probably double what these can handle. Hypereutectic pistons are
NO GOOD for turbo cars.

I melted one at 14 psi (stage 2 comp) in my GLHS

The Silvolite pistons I am looking at do not have an "h" prefix to the part number dictating they were not hyperutectic, as Silvolite told me. They say they are not H-tectic, but are straight cast.
I'm confused!
