With ARP rod bolts, main studs, and head studs do you use the same torque specifications. I've heard you only torque down ARP rod bolts to 50 ft pounds. How about main studs and head studs same as stock or no? Thanks.

Aren't ARP rod bolts tightened using the stretch method?

i think you torque ARP's (rod bolts) to 50, back off, torque to 50, back off and do a final torque to 50. i believe Bender and Reeves were discussing this the one day. when there is a moly lubricant on the threads ive been told by Gary to only torque to 40 and when oil is on the threads torque to 50. Ill have to dig up the email discussion to verify... or maybe someone can verify this for me. Thanks

Brian
