Okay, I've got everything I need for the machine shop, but I have some questions:

I've got .020 over pistons, should they be visibly bigger? I held them up to my old pistons and the looked very much the same... but then again I'm no human micrometer.

The reason why I'm asking is because I think my engine has been out before (not by me) and I'm worried that it's already had work done to it.

Also, where the rear locator pin was a little chunk looks like it broke off. It's like that on my 85 block too... so I don't know if I did it or somebody else did. Is this a common thing?
