Hi,

I blew up a new Mahle piston after only 14,000km on a rebuild.

The head and block where both shaved, increasing the compression and detonation. If I go forged pistons, they will be custom made. For what compression ratio should they be made for? They told me they can take into consideration the shaved head and block when I get pistons made.

My only problem with that is if I change out the head, although then I guess I could shave it to be the same.

Advice/comments?
