Ok, here's the deal....

Way too much money in engine, all ARP everywhere...

Have Venolias that use stock piston pins and single spiral locks on the sides to retain them...

Does anyone see anything wrong with this for a 6000 rpm max 2.5L 30psi boost w/ 50-75hp shot of Nitrous?

Are the stock pins going to fail, or should I send the pistons back now and have them modified to run the stronger Chevy pin and double spiral locks before they mess up while running under such stresses???

I need strong opinions here people, not guesses... I can guess...

But I know some people will say, depends on your luck...

So far, I have way too much to lose by going cheap now...

I will have a digital EGT with 3 probe points (1 in #4 exhaust port outlet, 2 in intake system, 1 after turbo and one before throttle body).

I also have an Innovate Motorsports WB O2 that I will be using full time to help me monitor the A/F while tuning and running down the track..

This is the third build on this engine, and the last time was running like hell with only 14psi... ended up having a pinhole in cylinder wall that steamed the piston and galled the hole.. very weird... this then caused the blown head gasket, which is all I thought was wrong with it at first before inspection... HA!!!

Thanks guys and gals,
Ryno

I know you are going really fast yourself, so I was hoping that someone like you would respond to my question...

I will try the "new" advance Auto Axles then for my 89 Omni Automatic.... Right?

and the stock pins should be fine as well then...

Thanks again Ken!!
