Does any one know where this rod was used and why it doesn't show up in any of the discussion of 2.2 rods. It appears to be identical to the 4323957 which is widely referenced. I have yet to find anyone who knows the lineage of this rod.

Is 4323958 the casting #? If so, this could explain everything. See, MoPar uses a stamping or casting# on the part, and issues the p/n usually as a preceding #. Since it leads to confusion, they have never seen fit to explain or change it.

The casting number is on the other side of the rod. This appears to be a part number and judging by the similarity to the Standard turbo II rod part number,4323957, I would assume that 4323958 is the part number.

Dealer connect has no record of the #4323958. Might be a misstamp on their part. Yesterday they sent us a 56006192 instead of a 4638592; those #'s aint even close! well, at least btt.
