(the T3 rods got better bolts though, and the part number on the T2 rods is different, but the rods themselves are all the same)
The wrist pin was moved up in the piston on the 2.5l's to compensate for the additional stroke while using the same length rod.
Now my question is why would you want to put SOHC 2.5l turbo pistons into a DOHC engine? Why not just purchase some Wiseco forged pistons specifically for the DOHC 2.4 turbo motor, or you could probably get a set of stock SRT/PT turbo pistons (don't know the wrist pin diameter on those though), or I have a set of stock bore brand new Mahle cast pistons for the Mexican DOHC 2.4 turbo motor sitting here for sale. They take all standard 2.2/2.5 turbo wrist pins, rings, clips etc. In fact they look basically identical to the SOHC 2.5l Turbo Mahle pistons, except they have 4 valve reliefs to make for a nice non-interference motor.

A more important question would be, are the 2.5 pistons the same as the 2.4 pistons (other than valve reliefs).
I ask this because the 2.4 pistons dont even reach the top of the deck when used in the 2.4 motor, its almost as if they used 2.5 spec pistons...
