I need to know what kind of block I would need to put a nitrous pro-shot on a 2.2 with a mitsu turbo. Would I also need a certain type of cylinder heads? If so, what kind?Would I need anything else that isnt stock?

First thing to do would be to get rid of the mitsu turbo. That thing is super tiny and is a huge restriction, even on a stock engine. You start putting nitrous in there and it is not going to want to flow through the turbine on that little thing.

I agree. By far the best thing you can do is replace that turbo. After that, replace the rods, any 2.2 with a mitsu turbo has the lightweight rods that can "give out without warning" over 150hp. You might consider finding a 2.5 T1 in the junkyard, that'll get you the stronger common block, and the stronger pistons. While your there, find a turbocharger off an '87 or earlier turbo dodge. What year is your car?

why bother with a turbo? put on a header toss the turbo. car still makes power without the turbo you know. with a 5 speed the car will run like an auto n/a. "meaning thats how the car feels to drive" balance internal parts put in good pistons hook up a progressive nos controller and hold on.

ok..i think it is funny has h3ll when your first post is about adding nitrous to your car...

you are better off going with a TII or whynot jump up to a S60... mod the motor right... dont just toss nitrous in it and expect it to be fast has chit..

have you even got a 3" or 2.5" exhaust
looked into a nice G-head??
granger vaulve??

we could go on like this for a while... i say dump the **** nitrous untill you mod the engine some...

then put the nitrous to it

You don't want a G head on a 2.2, 2.5 yes.

I've thought about this before. Most racing classes will give you a weight break if you only use one power adder. Get a common block 2.2 from a turbo2, a cam and a direct port nitrous system along with the tbi top end and I bet someone could go clean up at an import event. With that setup you could still max out the potential of the block and it would be much cheaper than a turbo race car. I might try this in the future if the weight break helped enough. Just a thought though.
