hey buddy, find the best shop you can and have them do it. sometimes is cheaper to spend more. my cousin had a 2.2 rebuilt in lansing, a 60 min drive. 500$ rebuild, the rod bearing spun after 2k miles. man i hate clowns.

say bud, here in pa its like 8 bucks a hole. But you add extra for cleaning the block, using a honeplate, decking the top of the block, magna fluxing it for stress and cracks, dressing the rod and main jornals, truing the rods, checking the rods for truenessand cracks. Then you get into the parts of pistons(if it will go .020 over) you might have to go more;freeze plugs, rod bearings, main bearings, and a new oil pump. Did I mention fitting the wrist pins. You should be able to get threw a major overhual of the bottom end around $800.00 to $1,000.00 and know that its been done right with no corners cut. I put $1500.00 into the bottom end of a 360 that screems 6500 rpm and over 500 hp on pump gas.

No, I got it done at DAM in harmony. Dumhoffs Automotive and Machine. It was quite intense with a 78 E58 block, a 79 crank,2-77rods,6-78 rods, and a 92 dak v-6 fly wheel.

i plan on doing the work myself but i just don't have the tools to bore it out. or do the crank. i plan on about 1000 into it. i'm doing all new seals bearings....everything. wanna go .20 over with t2 rods and forged t2 crank. there isn't anything wrong with the block so .20 over shouldn't be a problem. i think i just have a bad ring or 2.
