Who makes a good set of rods for the 2.2 press pin? Ones that can handle at least 400 hp? I want to build it right the first time. Thanks.

just use a TII rod with a ARP rod bolt and get the rod shopeened and it will handle 400hp all day.

I agree on the whole floating pin thing but I've got a set of Chromoly Pauter Rods that I'm sure would handle it without a hickup

I bought a set from Cindy @ FWDPerformance.com
I'll see how they do, don't think i'll be making 400hp maybe 400lb/ft.

Nevermind, i'm selling them... $180 gets you all rods w/ARP rod bolts, larger T2 rod bushings for larger wrist pins. Theyve been cleaned/shotpeened/balanced. Email me shelby_durango@hotmail.com

I might end up keeping my rods... do any of you know what's the max HP and torque shotpeened T2s can take? I've heard they should be good to 400hp, what about torque though, same? Also how do they do at continuous higher-rpms, ill be road racing and ill be spending a lot of my time up top... thanks.

Use ARP wave-loc bolts...

Yes they should be just fine... There's too much ado about 1 bolt failure that is knon about. The ARP bolts are fine.. I had the chance, I got wave-loc just because I could...
