Carl, PM me regarding the Wiseco's... Did you talk to Duane?? He's top notch... **** those pistons are pretty.. I should have bought the 5th just to display it!! I'll get in contact with you in January regarding the centurians... I can't wait to see them...

For those of you that don't know.. Carl does SUPERB work on our wheels!!!

HMMM were those new rods???

As for the engine builder, They vary by area.. I'm spending premium dollars on mine... The individual doing the work is VERY familiar with our cars... They build ALL the engines for the North American Cobra Replicars... Their own personal dragster makes 3k HP... Their rep is outstanding.. Balanced, rods peened/ polished.. you name it they are doing it... $850+ (includes assembly)

I second thqt.. I too am a boost 'o' holic!!

i bought these on ebay.

They are 2.2 long rods(6.300) with the matching forged pistons
the ebay item number is 2439522022

My neon head 2.5 developed a rod knock i was ebaying one night and came across these. I couldnot resist

Instead of yanking the motor i decided to build another motor and put motor number one in another car(after i rebuild it)

Two problems.

One)The rods dont have the an oil squirt hole

Two) and Since the rod is longer the piston top is shorter. So these 2.2 pistons look like a 2.5 piston

$850 for assembly including balancing, blue printing, shot peening, ect.? That's not bad at all. Any chance you'd be willing to share who that engine builder is Ken?

PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING, Ross Oh... They are also the Dyno shop... That was the verbal estimate... we'll see what it comes out to in the end. I also bought and supplied wiseco's new int shaft buchings, wave-loc rod bolts, 4 brand new TII rods, crank scraper. The block is a 90 TBI common block, cast crank...

dont remember the brand of assembly lube i used to use...

i put it in a mustard bottle...and squirted it on bearings...

would gladly pay 400 dollars for a full race built 2.2 that would handle four hundred hp.

lol..... what i meant was if you can get the motor built with the right parts for the right price...many of us would be interested

but you have to take in count your competing with local machine shops and friends.....

and..... IF you do make the sweet motor and it builds a rep. here.....

it might be a great service for us all and you might make $$$$
