Right now i'm using my stock forged crank for my 400lb/ft 8 valve project. It's only been polished, it should do good.

But soon, hopefully before summer, I want to switch to a 16v neon head. If I reach my goal of 400lb/ft with an 8valve, what do you think is possible with a 16v if I make sure my engine/fuel and whatever else can support it? Would it be a good idea to use a billit crank with anything over 500hp?

forged cranks are used in engines that make 1000 hp, billet aren't usually used for anything less than 900 hp, of course these are v8's but the metal is all the same. in my opinion, you would be better keeping your forged crank and sending it to 300 below for a cryo treatment, for most parts this doubles its strength and durability. it would also be a good idea to send your block, rods, pistons and head as well.

Forged and a set of SM performance billet 4 bolt mains.

You wont be breaking that anytime soon.
