this is kinda related to my other post, but ill explain it all again anyway. the other night one of my "friends" took my car and revved the crap out of it. when he got back the engine was making a loud tapping noise that seems to be coming from the timing belt side of the engine. the oil pressure is fine and so is everything else. i mean it runs fine and at its normal temp, it just makes noise when you get on the gas. its most apparent when the turbo first starts spooling and makes the trans wait a sec to shift (its auto). when im on the gas hard its not even as loud as then. does this sound like a rod knock? is there any way i can tell? could the timing belt have slipped a couple teeth? tomorrow im gonna go out there with a compression guage and see if taht tells me anything. please tell me its anything but bottom end problems!! oh yeah sorry for another annoyingly long post..
