Uh, if you turned the engine around, I'm pretty sure the wheels would turn backwards...
Of course, you could go really fast in reverse...

The 3000 has three catalatic converers (one pre-cat off of each manifold and then a main cat under the center of the car). Then when turning the engine/trans around, the trans output would be towards the front. I don't think the any Dodge trannys will bolt up to the Mitsu 3.0 block (not positive on this). You would also loose the ability to use the AWD feature when you turn the engine/trans around. If you tried to install it in the same attitude as the 3000 with the front to the drivers side, you would have a lot of custom building to remove the Daytona K frame and fab a way of making the whole front ass'y of the 3000 fit under the Daytona.
FWI, Just to let you know where I am thinking from, I have a Dodge Stealth R/T TT and (3) 93 Daytona's in my garage and driveway. The Stealth R/T TT & 3000GT are great cars when they are running, but when something goes wrong, they are a BIG money pit.
It is a nice dream, but unless you have a lot of $$$'s & a lot of fabrication resources, it will loose it's gleam before you can finish it. IMHO
