I want to paint my engine block but how!?!?!

Ok guys, I have seen it done but I want to know how. How do I paint my engine block and with what? I believe it was AurthurP who has his painted red and that is just what I want. I would appricate any info.

If it's out of the car just clean with brakeclean and paint it. Mask off anywhere you definitely don't want paint to go. If it's in the car strip it down as far as you can. clean it, mask everything off way out past the fenders and windshield and spray. Just use high temp engine paint, you can get it at any parts store. It won't be the best job if in the car but with everytihng back on it should be good enough to get by at cruise night for the casual onlooker.

So you want a nice shiney red block like mine? It's so much easier before all the stuff is bolted to it.

i had everything off mine like the head and all the bolt ons
i wire brushed it, wiped it off and painted it first with 1500* paint then used a glossy black with ceramic to make er look pretty

id recommend painting it w/ the block out of the car. itd be really difficult to get an even spray to make it look decent w/ the bay all cluttered.
