I'm the freak show with the '89 Chrysler Daytona...I'm looking in buying a new cam for my car... i'm looking for something that's not going to cost a fortune but is going to make a difference... My car is 2.5L 4 cyl no turbo... i know it hurts... so, got any ideas... get back to me!

Thanks!

Oh ya... will there be anything else i'll have to change?

for something that will make a difference look at adding a ram air intake to the car. I could not find the link to it. Someone on one of the boards had his NA pushing double the HP it came with. Again I do not remember who. Google may help though.

Double the HP, NOT!!!!!!!!!! maybe a few hp here and there but not double. Even most turbos don't double the HP.

As for rocker arms and such, you have a roller cam so its as easy and remove and install new cam. New new rockers, unless you have a bad one, and no cam break in.

perhaps you are refering to this guy...

http://www.karlsnet.com/mopar/

he thinks that car (2.2 TBI) is making 230+ hp......
http://www.karlsnet.com/mopar/calc.shtml

he`s drowning it with huge ammouts of water injection...even at part throttle!

from what i can tell, he`s never actually dynoed, or track tested the car...in other words, he`s a "calculator racer"....

it would be funny to see him line it up with bone stock T1 log car:big grin:

He figured his ram air made 34 HP, that I can live with. The stock air boxes are pathetic, in almost any car. I did the same on my Grand Am and gained more power and fuel economy, and the intake growl was worth it, "thumbs up

Would be nice if he had it dynoed.
