Hey guys, how common is it for the 2.5L CB to crack behind the starter. I have a 5 inch long crack at the base of the waterjacket. I will have pics when I pull my engine out. We have a welding shop in town that can has a new process of cold stitching so I don't have to tear it apart. Woo hoo. Plus because theres no heat, nothing will warp. Only crappy thing is 2 to 3 week backlog, doh!

Apparently it is not as rare as we might like, since that sounds exactly like a crack that Gus has in one of his engines. He had it "stitched" to, and IIRC it held up reasonably well.
