T-2 motor question!!!!

What all is forged in a T-2 motor and is there any difference in a Shelby motor? Block, pistons, rods, etc... Turbos, etc... I don't care about right now.

How about the VNT motor (1990).
Im looking for a replacement short block and have concerns
What should I look for besised the obious(Crank inspection)
Do all turbo motors have forged cranks?
Can you tell from the outside?
