I have a set of new pistons still in the box form mopar performance. I dont remember the size of the pistons and I dont have rings for them. Is there a site that has info on part #'s or does anyone have a book or some thing that If I post the # they will know. I emailed Cindy a while ago and she never replied so I figured sge had no idea what size they are. If anyone knows I'll accually dig one out of my closet.

Thanx for any help
Joe

Usually the part number is the same whether the piston is std or oversize. The oversize usually follows the part number and the oversize is usually stamped on top the piston.

Is it a 5 or .5? Other than that you'll have to have them measured.

I can't help you with the size, but it is not a forged piston.

Not sure, i'm relatively new to the 2.2 engines and only because i was building one for someone. I can't identify the piston and i'm not sure who made them for Chrysler. Sorry.

Those pistons were listed in the older M.P. cataloges as
2.2 turbo 86-90 .5 mm Oversize 8.0: 1 compression ratio.

Although they were listed as cast they were often really hyperutectic, which yours look like. Not the best choice for a performance 2.2 turbo engine.

I once ordered a set of "Premium Forged pistons" from M.P. and they sent hyperutectics in their place so they have no problem selling you junk if they feel like it.
Thanks
Randy
