Question Forged or Cast??

It's been a while since i've looked at a spare crank in my barn. And i've actually forgotten whether its forged or cast. I cant recall the casting date that was on the block either. How do you determin cast or forged?

the cast is going to have a thin parting line down the center wereas the forged unit has a wide parting line
the cast also has sharper more squared off corners while the forged is nice and rounded
