Common block rods in a 88 t1

Will 2.5 common block rods fit in an 88 t1 with out any mods?

All rods are the same size except the tall block 2.5 which are a bit longer, although early rods (81-85) are pressed pin, while the later rods use floating pins.

So the answer is yes, if you use 2.2l floating pin pistons. don't try to use the 2.5 pistons. I'm actually planning to go the other way, '85 rods in a common block engine. Probably have the machine shop do whatever magic they need to make them accept floating pin pistons.
