How much power can lightweight rods handle? Assuming everything else in the block is good of course. I'm looking to get 225 HP from my 2.2L daytona.

Nothing aftermarket, in 86-88 they chrysler rods that were 31 grams lighter-much weaker.

87, LW rods are o.k. for a lighter car. I ran 240 whp in the GLHS for 3 years no problem... A heavier car adds strain to the entire drivetrain. 225 hp is about all I would go on a 'tona...

Just buy a spare block and start building it. When its done swap it in.
