I've got a felpro one piece rubber type oil pan gasket and was wondering how difficult it would be to install the crank scraper. Drop the pan and how to get the scraper on there? use some silicone and then put the ruber gasket back on and then the oil pan? Anyone use one of the crank scrapers on their car? Anyone know what it's worth in HP? Am I going to have any leaks if I install one of these?

I don't know if that is something you should try installing with the engine in the vehicle. Crank scrapers are usually designed to be fit to the engine. They come roughed in and have to be custom fit. The reason for this is the clearances have to be held to tight tolerances- .050"-.060".

He must have used silicone then. Otherwise I'd suspect leaks.

i installed one on my 87 t2 daytona engine in my 85 SC
i had to grind it down a little bit so the crank wouldn't hit the scraper
its supposed to add 5-10 HP
i used the 2-piece gasket with the rubber pieces by the ends of the tank
filled it with oil and no leaks, but didn't get a chance to start it yet, still doing other stuff first
i did it when it was out of the car, so it was pretty easy
think easiest way while engine is in car would be to mock fit them, grind where you need to (someone hand turn crank so as to see where it may hit), put gasket on pan RTV it, then scraper RTV it then RTV the block should be fine and no leaks
