after the engine warms up the oil pressure drops to 20 lbs and doesn't like to rise even if you accelerate.it happened suddenly and oil isn't that old. is the pickup plugged or the pump shot or just bad oil.help before i decide to buy a pump for no reason

hmm.... having the same problem, starts out with lots of oil pressure then drops once it warms up.....hovering around 15 psi at idle and sometimes it likes to completely loose pressure then get it back all of a sudden. took the pump out today and will check it tommorow. i'll keep you posted on the results.

89 daytona 2.5 T1

found the problem. i spun a con bearing on number 2. sucks i just had that crank ground too. oh well. time to get another crank and some new rods.

did it knock at all mine is about to be opened up but it didn't knock but we think bearings

99% of the time that problem is a loose connector on the oil sending unit.
