I was wondring what the best 2.2 crank is for the common block?
Are FWD Performance ones good?

well its not so much as there is a better crank but there are differences that will make one crank more desirable to someone.

the forged cranks are stronger than the cast crank but are heavier. the cast cranks are less strong (but definately strong enough for like 500hp) but rev up faster due to less mass. any 2.2 commonblock crank is good.

Were is a good source for cranks? I've bent my .020 so I'm going to get a new one. thanks,

How did you bend your crankshaft? I've never heard of anyone doing that on our engines. I got my 2.2L commonblock crank for $50 with bearings from Northeast Machine. Check around and you might be surprised what you'll find.

I'm not really sure how I did that. My last pass down the track I was shifting at 6800
when the bearing gave way so I guess thats when she bent. It was not much .020 be enough the machine shop said lets scrap it and get another.
