I want to remove the Ballence shafts from my 2.5 turbo. What and where are the holes I have to plug? What do I need.

I also will be doing alittle daily driving with it, but my main daily driver is my other 90 Daytona, V6 5SPD. I am used to alittle vibration. I hade a 89 Dodge Ram 50, Swaped the motor from a 2.0 to a 2.4 and removed the ballence shafts. THe vibration was not bad at all. But It was a different engine that ours. But like I said, Vibration increase was minimum.

I've removed them from two 2.5 T1 engines. I didn't notice much of an increase in vibration either. The engine revs a lot faster now, which is nice for heel-toe shifting.

Agreed...did the same on (2) 2.5 T-I engines with NO noticeable increase in vibration.

I didn't like putting 7-8 quarts of oil in the motor...so I went with a non-balance shaft oil pan and pick-up. Solved that one.

And yes...sure does seem to rev faster.

Good idea from Cliff.

I drilled and tapped that hole...then put a hex set-screw down the hole.

Thanks for the link!

The only drawback from Cliffs is that you can't go back and put them in if you want to. I did what you did Chris, drill and tap it out!
