Anyone polish the top of their pistons to prevent carbon bulid-up?? If so how did you do it? What tools/polish did you use. Thanks.

I know some people polish the pistons and cumbuston camber to stop hot spots from causing detonation but i dunno about carbon build. If u have some hit grit sand paper or maybe a die grinder with a sand wheel on it you could

Im using a soft material (dont know in eglish) wheel with polishing paste for pistons and rubber/diamond dust drmel for chamber.

Brass wire wheel and a drill. Just dont put too much force on the drill.

Anyone use any polishing compound on a buffing wheel to achieve this?? I thought more poeple would have done this?

I don't polish the pistons just to polish. I use a 90-degree die grinder with a scotch brite pad and wd-40 to debur them. If your looking to polish for any other reasons you should consider coatings.
